1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading and using BillFighters, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the application.
2. Service description
BillFighters is a mobile application that allows you to:
- Create and join expense sharing groups
- Add and track shared expenses
- Automatically calculate balances between members
- Run draws to designate a payer
- Participate in a gamification system (XP, badges, cards)
- Create events (outings, meals, trips) with participant list, FIFO waitlist, shared pot tracking and share links
3. User account
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the application.
3.2 Account security
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials.
4. Usage rules and prohibited content
It is prohibited to:
- Use the application for illegal purposes
- Impersonate another person
- Submit false expense information
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
- Harass or harm other users
It is also prohibited to post, anywhere in the app (username, photo, group name, expense, event, poll, etc.), content that:
- Is sexual or pornographic
- Is hateful or discriminatory
- Is violent or threatening
- Harasses or intimidates anyone
- Shares intimate images of a person without their consent
- Infringes the rights of others (privacy, image rights, copyright, trademarks)
- Impersonates a person or an organization
Zero tolerance: none of this content is tolerated, nor is abusive behavior toward other users. The measures taken in case of a breach are described in section 11.

6. Premium Subscription
6.1 Subscription plans
- Monthly: €1.99/month
- Yearly: €19.99/year (save 2 months)
These amounts are indicative for the euro zone. The price actually charged is the one displayed in the store (App Store or Google Play) at the time of purchase: it depends on your country, your currency and local taxes.
6.2 Premium features
- 25 groups (vs 10 for free users)
- 5 images per expense (vs 3)
- 54 currencies (vs 3)
- Automatic OCR receipt scanning
- PDF reports with photos
- Ad-free experience
6.3 Billing and automatic renewal
6.4 Free trial
If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
6.5 How to cancel
- iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > BillFighters
- Android: Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > BillFighters
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6.6 Refunds
- iOS: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Contact Google Play support
6.7 Price changes
We reserve the right to modify prices. You will be notified in advance of any changes.
7. Advertising
The free version displays ads via Google AdMob. Premium users enjoy an ad-free experience.
8. Gamification
XP, badges, and cards are virtual items with no real monetary value.
9. Intellectual property
The BillFighters application, its design, code, and content are protected by intellectual property laws.
10. Limitation of liability
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS". Our liability is limited to the amount paid for Premium features.
11. Termination, content removal and reporting
- You can delete your account at any time via the app settings
- We may suspend your account in case of violation of these terms
- We remove any content on the list of prohibited content (section 4) when it is reported to us or comes to our attention, and may, depending on the seriousness of the case, delete its author’s account
Report content or a user: email contact@billfighters.fr, describing the content and where it appears (group, event, poll or link received), with a screenshot if possible. We reply within 24 hours. In the app, you can also tap ⋮ next to a member’s name, then “Report” or “Block”.
Usernames are checked automatically against a word list; reports are reviewed by a person, and the author of removed content or the owner of a deleted account is notified and given the reason.
12. Changes
These terms may be modified. Important changes will be notified in the application.
