On supported devices the scanner detects the receipt edges and straightens it before reading, which helps a lot with a crumpled or angled receipt. Latin-script receipts (French, English…) are recognised well; Arabic is not recognised on Android. If reading fails, you simply type the amount in. Smart OCR is part of the Premium benefits.
